Southern Oregon has even more variety to offer the sports enthusiast, from Medford’s Providence Rogue Run Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K, to the Wild Rogue Relay and the expansive U.S. Cellular Community Park, with 15 athletic fields on 132 acres. The magnificent Steen Sports Park in scenic Klamath Falls adds to the area’s sports scene with an indoor fieldhouse, four baseball diamonds, four outdoor soccer fields and a cross-country jogging path.
A must for any thrill-seeking visitor to Southern Oregon is a trip to the “Hang Gliding Capital of the West” on Black Cap Mountain near Lakeview.
