12-time all-star and 2001 Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee Dave Winfield will be the featured speaker at the University of Portland’s 2009 Diamond Dinner, which marks the unofficial beginning to the baseball season. Now in its eighth year, the event has grown and evolved into Pilot baseball’s premier fund-raiser and annual tradition.

The event is open to the public and tickets are $100 each or $1,000 for an entire table of 10. Festivities begin with a social hour and a silent auction starting at 5:00 p.m. Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the program is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
