Portland seeds announced: Washington, Gonzaga coming
Pairings for the NCAA Tournament were just announced. The matchups in Portland, which will be played on Thursday, are:
From the West Regional
No. 4 seed Washington vs. No. 13 seed Mississippi State.
No. 5 seed Purdue vs. No. 12 seed Northern Iowa.
Winners of those games play Saturday.
From the South Regional
No. 4 seed Gonzaga vs. No. 13 seed Akron.
No. 5 seed Illinois vs. No. 13 seed Western Kentucky.
Winners of those games play Saturday.
