Congratulations to the state of Oregon! This is a great step toward helping kids get off their (growing) behinds and kick into physical activity. The only drawback is that this bold and much needed move will help kids in the future, not so much in the present. For parents who want to jump-start the process...take a family walk after dinner; swim together at your local community pool; throw a frisbee in the park; play tag in the back yard. It's easy to get started! Do it for your kids!
