Organizers of NCAA tournament happy with results, hope for return

The love Dr. Terry Davis and his wife Betty share for Louisville men’s basketball can be defined by the miles they’ve traveled over the decades.

The couple met in high school in the 1950s. She graduated from Louisville nursing school, he from its medical school. Together, they have attended an untold number of NCAA tournament games, including all eight of the program’s trips to the Final Four since 1959.

So dedicated, they didn’t mind flying from Louisville to Baltimore to Portland to attend last weekend’s second and third rounds at the Rose Garden. Anything to see their beloved Cardinals. And for them, Portland proved to be a gracious host.
