With just a few days notice, top surfers from around the globe will make their way to the Oregon coast to compete in one of North America’s premier surfing contest, drawn by near-perfect 40 foot waves and the rugged lure of Nelscott Reef.
Nelscott is now one of five events on the Big Wave World Tour, the brainchild of legendary big wave surfer, Gary Linden of Oceanside, California. After 20 years of being Contest Director and Organizer of big wave events all over the world, Gary formed the world’s first big wave tour, with events in Chile, Peru, Mexico, California, and now Oregon.
