Morrison Bridge to be lit in yellow and green to support Ducks
The decorative lights of the Morrison Bridge in downtown Portland will glow yellow and green at night to honor the University of Oregon’s advancement through the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
Pacific Power donated the money to purchase the LED lighting fixtures, in concert with Multnomah County which operates and maintains the city’s surface street bridges. The lighting system was dedicated Feb. 14.
The lighting can be changed to any color at any time, said Pacific Power spokeswoman Bekki Witt. Before the switch, they were an array of bright colors representing spring season.
