It was 45 years ago when Mike Marshall and John Stallberger created “hacky sack™” It was their intention that footbag become a global sport, played by millions. 37 World Footbag Championships later, and here we are in 2017, in Portland Oregon–the place where it all began–and we’re celebrating those 45 years with an international turnout of players who will be competing across different disciplines of the game.

The Sole Purpose Footbag Club of Portland, & The International Footbag Players’ Association are proud to present The 38th Annual IFPA World Footbag Championships. Please join us in welcoming players and enthusiasts alike to the Oregon Convention Center, between August 6th – 12th where both Footbag Freestyle & Footbag Net matches will take place.
