eUpdate – STIHL TIMBERSPORTS, Wine Country Half Marathon, Warrior Dash
The world’s original extreme sport will be on full display starting this Friday as the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series celebrates its 25th anniversary with the U.S. and Collegiate Championships at the Oregon State Fair in Salem. The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series features the nation’s best lumberjacks and jills, competing in ultimate tests of strength, endurance, stamina, skill and agility. Thirty-two chopper/sawyers, six collegiate competitors, eight boom runners and eight speed climbers will chop, saw, climb and run their way into the record books, all while celebrating the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS tradition during silver anniversary festivities. ESPN cameras have followed the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series since 1985, making it one of the longest running programs on the network.
