eUpdate – Sports Commission of the Year, Healthy Youth Initiative and Upcoming Events

On April 15 the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) named the Oregon Sports Authority “2010 Member of the Year” at its annual symposium in Columbus, Ohio. The NASC Member of the Year award recognizes the nation’s sports commission judged to have had the most outstanding impact on its local community through sporting events, community events and/or economic impact. NASC Executive Director Don Shumacher stated, “Oregon has joined the best of the best in receiving the highest honor we can bestow.”
