eUpdate – Nelscott Reef Premiere, Beavers Update and More
Surfers from around the globe traveled to Lincoln City last month to compete in the 2009 Nelscott Reef Tow In Classic and Big Wave Paddle In. Perfect conditions and 30′ waves greeted the world’s best big wave surfers for the fifth consecutive year, making Nelscott the most consistently held big wave surf event on the planet.
The incredible story of this wave is the focus of a feature film debuting next Wednesday, November 18 at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland. The public is invited to attend the premiere of The Find: Claiming Nelscott Reef, a film-noir surf documentary about the conflicts, challenges and rewards brought on by the discovery of a giant, Oregon coast wave.
