
All-Stars impress, and impressed
The question of whether Portland would embrace the National Lacrosse League All-Star Game was answered Saturday night at the Rose Garden.
NLL commissioner Jim Jennings acknowledged there was some skepticism when he awarded the 2007 game to Portland LumberJax owner Angela Batinovich.
“(Owners) asked me, ‘Do you really think Portland will welcome us?’ ” Jennings said. “But this was great. . . . The crowd here was unbelievable.”
