After delays, NCAA 2009 tournament tickets site is working
Finally.
On Tuesday, fans hoping to attend the first and second rounds of the 2009 NCAA men’s basketball tournament at Portland’s Rose Garden were able to access the Web site (www.ncaa.com/tickets) through which tickets are being sold. The Web site — the only site for fans across the country to get tickets for eight subregionals and four regionals — was supposed have been running March 24.
Because of the 22-day delay, the NCAA has extended the ticket application deadline two weeks, giving fans until May 15. Fans can purchase the chance to buy tickets, and if demand is higher than supply, a random drawing will be used.
