Drew Mahalic
CEO/Executive Director
Drew has served as Oregon Sports Authority CEO/Executive Director since 1996, following a 5-year career as an NFL linebacker, and positions with Pacific University and Portland State University.  He is a graduate of Notre Dame University, where he was a member of the 1973 college football national championship team, and Harvard Law School.

Meyer Freeman

Chief Operating Officer
Meyer has been with the Oregon Sports Authority since 1999, responsible for event/franchise recruitment and event management, as well as the development of youth and community programs.  A native of Knappa on Oregon’s north coast, Meyer has a sport management degree from the University of Massachusetts and earned an MBA from Willamette University.

Lauren Elgee

Community Outreach Manager
Lauren joined the Oregon Sports Authority in February 2017, following roles with the Washington State Senate and Simplex Aerospace.  She helps manage the TrackTown Youth League, as well as other youth program partnerships, with a focus on marketing, promotions and sponsorship.  Lauren is a Portland native, and graduate of Cleveland High School and Whitman College, where she was a member of the cross country team.

Alex Rudd

Community Outreach Manager
Alex joined the Oregon Sports Authority in February 2017, following a position with Metropolitan Family Service.  She manages the TrackTown Youth League, as well as other youth program partnerships, and also leads local marketing efforts for the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon.  Alex is originally from North Bend, Washington, and is a graduate of Southern Oregon University, where she was a member of the track and field and cross country teams.

Kate Johnson

Marketing and Events Coordinator
Kate joined the Oregon Sports Authority as an intern in March 2017 and was hired as Marketing and Events Coordinator in July.  She is responsible for the organization’s membership and marketing activities, and also provides extensive event management and marketing support.  Kate is a graduate of Barlow High School in Gresham and Syracuse University, where she served as president of the university’s running club.
